Corvias and National Military Family Association Combat Military Spouse Unemployment with Dedicated Funding

The unemployment rate for military spouses is nearly 30 percent, which is more than seven times the national average.The Corvias Foundation, in coordination with National Military Family Association, are working to combat that by providing unique scholarship and career advancement support for military spouses.

As cited by Moody’s, our on-campus student housing partnership with Wayne State University, that includes $307.5 million financed off the school’s balance sheet, "enhances the University's strategic position" and "is credit positive for the University because it can revitalize its housing stock in the face of declining enrollment while reducing housing system related general revenue debt." As a result, Wayne State is able to use its resources for other critical facility projects and improvements to further increase their ability to compete and grow.
