CORVIAS HONORS EARTH DAY BY PARTICIPATING IN GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY

April 22, 2019

In honor of Earth Day this year, Corvias and one of its subcontractors, Bradley Site Designs, supported the eighth annual Good Neighbor Day in College Park, MD, a part of Prince George’s County. This year’s event, held on Saturday April 13, included over 900 volunteers working across across the greater College Park community. Volunteer sites included bamboo removal, mural painting, playground beautification, road clean up, litter pick up, and removal of invasive plantings. The goal of Good Neighbor Day is to achieve the common goal of beautifying shared community spaces.Bradley Site Designs is a delivery team partner for The Clean Water Partnership and is currently working on multiple projects for the Clean Water Partnership.

On Friday evening, Corvias Partnership Liaison Keisha Brown supported the University of Maryland student organization, Terps Against Hunger, a student run organization that fights food insecurity in the DC metro area. She helped to stage and set up the College Park Community Center in preparation for the following day’s activities, which included packing nutritious meals for families. While on Saturday, The Clean Water Partnership team helped remove some invasive plants and clean the College Park Community Garden Hollywood.

Good Neighbor Day is another example of how Corvias generously gives back to the community. To encourage all of its team members to get involved, Corvias team members receive time off to volunteer each year.
