In 2001, the US Army selected Corvias to perform a pilot program at Fort Meade which ultimately set the standard for all military housing partnerships under the MHPI. When Corvias first assumed responsibility for the Fort Meade project, occupancy was in the low 70% range and there was a maintenance backlog of 36,798 work orders that Corvias was able to clear in 60 days.
Corvias was selected to rejuvenate the housing community in rural Fort Polk, Louisiana, in 2004. Partnering closely with the US Army, Corvias identified multiple opportunities to mitigate the risk of a project that was remotely located and characterized by higher-than-normal service member attrition. Corvias has been able to increase resident retention by more than 13%.
Just one month after Corvias assumed responsibility of approximately 4,000 homes in its public-private partnership with the US Army at Fort Riley, the 1st Infantry Division returned to the installation after being headquartered in Germany for more than 10 years.
Fort Rucker is the primary flight training base for Army Aviation and is home to the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE). With a significant focus on learning and training, Corvias aligned interests with Fort Rucker’s leadership to support the important academic mission.
As Corvias prepared to close on the Fort Sill Partnership, the global financial crisis of 2008 negatively impacted market conditions, resulting in a near freeze of all real-estate transactions whether planned or unplanned.
Working collaboratively with our partners, the US Air Force, 412th Test Wing and the USAF Test Pilot School, Corvias fosters a sense of community through the new construction, renovation, operations, and resident services with a focus on modern features and technology in a master-planned environment
At Eglin AFB, Corvias oversees all comprehensive operation and management activities. The Eglin AFB program includes the new construction of 747 homes that are comprised of 237 single family and 510 duplex homes.
The Eielson AFB P3 is part of a larger partnership with the US Air Force to provide housing development, construction, management, maintenance and other support services.
At Hurlburt Field, Florida, Corvias oversees all comprehensive operation and management activities. The Hurlburt Field program includes the new construction of 404 homes that are comprised of 150 single family and 154 duplex homes.
In 2011, Corvias was selected as the top offeror for the Continental Group P3 — the last of the family housing partnership opportunities with the US Air Force. Unlike Corvias’ prior partnerships with the US Army, in which each installation was privatized individually, the Continental Group combined six Air Force bases.
