Corvias Drives Major Improvements to Military Housing at Fort Meade

Renovations, indoor wellness enhancements and energy efficiency upgrades support resident comfort

Corvias, a trusted infrastructure and resiliency partner to the U.S. military and higher education institutions, is leading a multi-faceted approach to better military housing at Fort Meade. Major and medium interior home renovations, new roofs, indoor wellness solutions and energy efficiency upgrades will modernize homes and increase resident comfort.

In early summer, David Dentino, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Housing, and Partnerships, toured Fort Meade housing and noted the importance of “driving policies and partnerships that modernize housing.” Now that more improvements are underway, military families will soon begin reaping the full benefits.

Corvias is modernizing military housing with solid-surface flooring and indoor wellness solutions that boost air, water and light quality.
Service members and their families look forward to sought-after features like stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

Nearly 1,000 homes at Fort Meade will receive these enhancements, and 80 have now achieved the coveted WELL for Residential certification.

Intended to contribute to service members’ well-being and readiness, this project is set to wrap up by February 2026.

Energy Efficiency Upgrades

In 2026, over 1,400 Fort Meade homes will receive geothermal heat pumps and new thermostats, which will improve energy efficiency and sustainability while also offering better temperature controls.

In addition to these upgrades, Corvias utilizes its Solutions Through Partnerships® approach to contribute to installation resiliency through solar power generation that contributes to energy independence.
